1. Our History- Mark's Quality Cleaners was started in 1981 by Mark Watkins. Mark felt that his father, Tommy Watkins, had done well in the drycleaning business, setting a high standard of service and professionalism and that he could do the same on his own. Mark's Quality Cleaners' first store was in Roebuck and in 1989 our Inverness store opened.

2. Goals- We don't care about being the biggest. We want to be the best. Our goal is to provide the highest quality of drycleaning and laundry while also giving the highest level of customer service. We want our customers to trust us when they leave their special clothes for care. Our employees know that the only thing we have to sell is SERVICE and they do it with a smile.

3. Achievements- Mark Watkins is a past Vice-President on the Southeastern Fabricare Associations' board of directors which is an affiliate of the International Fabricare Institute. He is also a director on the Alabama Drycleaning Environmental Trust Fund Board. Mark's Quality Cleaners has been voted as one of Birmingham's Best by the readers of the Birmingham News.

4. Cleaning Method- At Mark's we feel that for drycleaning a hydrocarbon solvent is the best fluid to clean with. Hydrocarbon solvent is gentler on beaded and trimmed items. Colors stay fresher longer and hydrocarbon fluid is not a hazard to the environment.
